Today's video of the day is a music video from filmmaker Max Weiland for Elton John's Tiny Dancer. The music video was made as part of a contest from Elton and YouTube to make music videos for three of Elton's songs. The takeaway: get producing, look for contests, and treat every shoot like it's an Elton John music video.

Building on Elton John and Bernie Taupin’s Californian inspiration, Max Weiland filmed a video for “Tiny Dancer” that reflects on life in Los Angeles from a dozen different people, all unfolding behind the wheel of their cars. The Cut, proudly supported by YouTube, invited filmmakers to create the first official music videos for three of Elton John’s most famous songs:http://eltonjohn.com/thecut

Viewership of TV news in general has fallen off, so naturally, TV executives across the boards are searching for a solution. How to appeal to a demographic that spends most of their time on social media?
